Question 1

What is the minimum age requirement?

Accepted Answer

All drivers must be at least 25 years of age at the time of application. This is a firm requirement driven by insurance policy terms.

Question 2

What type of driver's license is required?

Accepted Answer

A valid U.S. driver's license with no suspensions, revocations, or major violations in the past 3 years. An international license is not accepted.

Question 3

What driving record is acceptable?

Accepted Answer

We require a clean driving record — no DUIs, reckless driving, or more than 2 minor violations in the past 3 years. A full MVR check is conducted during onboarding.

Question 4

Is a background check required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All applicants undergo a comprehensive background screening covering criminal history, driving record, and identity verification before a vehicle is assigned.

Question 5

Do I need an active Uber or Lyft account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You must have an active, approved driver account on at least one platform (Uber or Lyft) before your rental can begin. We can advise on the approval process if needed.

Question 6

How much is the security deposit?

Accepted Answer

A $500 refundable security deposit is required for all vehicles. This is returned within 7 business days of the rental end date, provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition.

Question 7

When is the weekly payment due?

Accepted Answer

Weekly payments are due every Monday by 9:00 AM. Late payments may result in a $50 late fee and, after 48 hours, vehicle retrieval.

Question 8

Is there a minimum rental period?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The minimum rental period is 4 weeks. After the initial term, rentals continue on a week-to-week basis with 7 days' written notice required to end the agreement.

Question 9

Is there a mileage limit?

Accepted Answer

Each vehicle includes a 2,000-mile weekly allowance. Miles beyond that are billed at $0.15 per mile, invoiced at the end of each week.

Question 10

What insurance is included?

Accepted Answer

Commercial rideshare insurance is included in your weekly rate. This covers you during active rideshare trips (Period 2 and 3). You are responsible for personal use coverage outside of active trips.

Question 11

Who pays for charging?

Accepted Answer

Tesla Supercharger access is included in your weekly rate. For home or third-party charging, costs are the driver's responsibility. We recommend charging primarily at Supercharger locations for convenience.

Question 12

Who handles maintenance and repairs?

Accepted Answer

MacOps handles all scheduled maintenance, tire rotations, and wear-and-tear repairs. Damage caused by driver negligence or accidents is the driver's financial responsibility.

Question 13

What happens if I'm in an accident?

Accepted Answer

Contact us immediately at info@macopsfleet.com. Do not authorize any repairs yourself. Our team will coordinate with insurance and arrange a replacement vehicle if available.

Question 14

Am I responsible for keeping the vehicle clean?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The vehicle must be maintained in a clean, professional condition at all times. A weekly exterior detail is included. Interior cleaning is the driver's responsibility.

Question 15

Which rideshare platforms can I use?

Accepted Answer

Both vehicles qualify for Uber Black, Uber Premier, and Lyft Lux — the highest-earning tiers on each platform. The Model X also qualifies for Uber Black XL and Lyft Lux XL.

Question 16

How much can I expect to earn?

Accepted Answer

Earnings vary based on market, hours driven, and platform. Drivers operating full-time on premium tiers in the Charlotte/Raleigh market typically gross $1,200–$2,000+ per week before the rental fee.

Question 17

Are there minimum driving hours?

Accepted Answer

There are no minimum hour requirements. However, we do require that the vehicle is used exclusively for approved rideshare platforms during the rental period — no personal use beyond normal commuting.
